At The University Closet, we are driven by a deep passion for protecting and uplifting the legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Founded in 2013 in the heart of North Carolina, we are more than just a lifestyle brand – we are a celebration of the rich culture and history that defines our beloved institutions of higher learning - HBCUS!

Proudly owned by two HBCU graduates, The University Closet, LLC is a brand built on humble beginnings and a commitment to uplift, protect, and support our HBCUS, making our mark on HBCU culture and leagcy. We are honored to be officially licensed with over 10 HBCUs and counting, ensuring that our apparel reflects the pride, resilience, and unity of these historic campuses.

Our mission goes beyond fashion; it’s about creating meaningful, high-quality products that resonate with the spirit of the culture. We specialize in stylish and thoughtful apparel that captures the essence of the HBCU experience. From bold statements to everyday wear, our collections stand out for their purpose and design. We also offer a select line of Greek apparel for Musical Greek Organizations and the Divine Nine.
